Why I Reconstructed My Keke to A Jeep – Lagos Keke Rider

Since the ban of commercial motorcircles know as “Okada” Tricycles known as “keke maruwa” in Lagos by the Lagos State government there has been lot’s of changes in state.

It is no longer news of the recent developments in areas in Lagos since after the ban. The ban of Okada and keke has left most of the riders frustrated and confused because it was their only means of survival.

A lot Lagosians who depend on the means as a source of survival and livelihood have not been happy with the uncomfortable change. This has led to series of protest on the streets of Lagos which at Some point was handled with violence.

Following the total ban on operation of Keke and Okada in Lagos a Nigerian citizen who is a keke driver decided to apply technology by converting his keke to a Hummer jeep look alike.

Speaking to jomotv on Thursday, he said Since the government doesn’t want anything with three legs and two legs on their roads, I’ve gone home thought of what I can do to survive, I said no that was how I started Reconstructing my keke and finally this what I got.

The frustration is too much, the normal citizens now have to trek miles before they could get to their work place. He went further to say that If the Government don’t want us to have our way, there are means in which we could have it by force, Nigerians don’t give up to failure easily.
